• Article is new enough, long enough, and was nominated in the proper time frame. No copyright violations detected. Hook fact is interesting and verified to the cited source. Unfortunately there are some significant WP:Verification problems which causes the nomination to fail WP:DYKCITE. There are unsourced claims in several spots in the article, some of which are tagged. In double checking paragraphs with only one citation at the end, I am catching places where the sources do not verify or support all the claims in that paragraph. In general, the article has not properly attributed where the content is coming from, and a rigorous amount of fact checking will need to be done to get this approved.

The nominator needs to go through the article and cite exactly where the content is coming from. I shouldn't be catching text that isn't supported in the sources being cited with inline citations. Note that this also means no lazy put all the citations/sources at the end of the paragraph. If all of the content is not in any one source, than there needs to be multiple citations within that paragraph with only the source verifying a particular claim being cited directly after each fact. We don't want the article getting pulled at WP:ERRORS for false citations. For example "Cahill, a hired English hitman, was paid €10,000 to carry out the killing." When I opened up the first citation after that fact at the end of the paragraph that fact wasn't found in that first source. That should not happen. If the whole text of the paragraph isn't found in any one source, then multiple citations must be used so that the reader can immediately find the correct source with that fact. We can't run this until the citation issues are fixed. If two or more sources are bundled each source should have all of the content in it. If it doesn't, than you need to add more citations in a paragraph so that only the source with that fact is being claimed as verifying a particular fact. Note I will check every sentence to make sure it is verified and that the citation immediately after each claim is in the source being cited. @CeltBrowne: are you still able to carry on resolving the five citation needed tags? because its been almost a month since the initial review, over a week since you last commented/replied and there hasn't been any edits since 20 may. I'll give you until the 22nd (one more week) before this nominaion may be closed. • Comment. Is this really ready for re-review? I don't think so. The original issue truly hasn't been addressed. Two sentences in and I am already catching text not stated in the cited source. "It quickly established itself as the centre of Limerick's nightlife". This claim, or something similar, is not stated in the Limerick Leader piece. It calls the club iconic and innovative, but there isn't a place that directly discusses the club in the context of Limerick's wider nightlife in that article to formulate the opinion that it was the "centre of the nightclub scene" in the town. However, that claim is stated in the Irish Examiner article which isn't used to verify that sentence. I'm seeing very little text modification from the last review, and the same sources are used/cited. The writer needs to go back through and make sure the correct article is being cited for each fact. Additionally, the first section is Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing of the Limerick Leader article because the section is built almost entirely on a single source. The article's opening section reads strikingly similar to that article, and in my view is close enough that is unintentional plagiarism. This is an example where the interweaving of multiple sources should have been done to prevent close paraphrasing. It is very difficult to have a paragraph not read like close paraphrasing if you have used only one source to build that paragraph.4meter4 (talk) 12:16, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

Just noting that there are multiple other instances of failed WP:Verification. Many of these are just a simple matter of adding in more inline citations when more than one reference has been used. The editor has the habit of using multiple sources but then citing only one source at the end of the paragraph; leading to a failed verification of text. I gave one example above, but there are several others. All of these instances will need to be fixed in order to pass WP:DYKCRIT. In general there needs to be far better attention to making sure the facts are in the the cited sources, and where they aren't putting in the proper inline citations so that all of the text is verifiable.4meter4 (talk) 13:07, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
