Etymology

The word ‘trichoderma’ is composed of ‘tri’ and ‘derma’, skin. Why is this fungus given this name, that seems to be non related? What is its etymology? Some explanation should be given here. 2A02:14F:16:8A11:D178:8F47:AF0D:980E (talk) 06:15, 11 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
