Treason laws with different names

[edit]

There are several Acts of Parliament which are largely about treason but which are not called the "Treason Act" but something else. We have made an exception for the Sedition Act, but should we include other Acts which have different names? If we do, should they be embedded in the main list or have a separate "see also" subsection? This might involve rewriting the lead paragraph a bit to explain / justify their inclusion. Examples of what I mean are the Religion Act 1580, Escape of Traitors Act 1572, Rebellion Act 1572. Richard75 (talk) 19:20, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Scotland

[edit]

Someone asked (on the article page) why we don't have any entries for pre-Union Scotland. I believe it's because there weren't any acts of the Scottish Parliament as the entire Scottish law of treason was common law. But if anyone knows different, please add any known acts (preferably sourced) and ideally create an article too. Richard75 (talk) 20:30, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
