Parasitic Insects

I don't like the use of the word parasitic here. While the definition may fit technically, It would be like using the word parasitic to describe humans feeding on plants or animals. Basically it is a nonstandard usage of the word. MATThematical (talk) 23:10, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Gosh, it's a very widespread usage. It mainly denotes parasitoids, such as parasitoid wasps, which are important in horticulture, organic agriculture and more generally. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:14, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

Trap cropping for non-insects

Move mechanism section to intercropping page

That is just one form of intercropping, i.e. the subjects are different in extent. Trap cropping is a major topic in its own right with an extensive technical literature.
