New and just long enough (see above); Sourced, neutral, and free from copyvio. Hooks are cited in the article, but except for ALT1, which is too long, aren't all that interesting. I think there's a lot of potential hooks that can be created based on the new sources that were just published about the benefit concert that took place. I think you can salvage the three hooks up above by making slight changes, but I also think creating new hooks from new content in the above articles is even better, and will also help expand this topic and talk about the event which took place. - I've expanded the article with content with the first three of those sources; Gay Times is paywalled. ALT1 is compliant with WP:DYK200, but could be shortened to ALT1a: ... that a March 2026 benefit concert has been described "as a massive, glittering middle finger" to the daily hostility faced by the UK trans community?. - Alice Litman was never on DYK before. Her mother spoke at the event. Litman killed herself because she was denied gender-affirming healthcare. Connecting Litman to the event is a good way to bring the issue front and center again. I realize that's not going to be an easy hook to write. It will take finesse and care to combine euphoria and pathos, but it could work. Perhaps something like
- ALT2: ... that a benefit concert for the trans community paid tribute to Alice Litman, who took her life after being denied gender-affirming care?
- I'm sure you or others could figure out how to improve it or make it work. If not, I can pass ALT1a. Viriditas (talk) 09:26, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
