Yes, this needs to be split. There needs to be an article for the physiological meaning, as in "the digestive tract." I would do it now, but I was looking it up to figure out what it means. Twilight Realm 22:05, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
The article on Lateral geniculate nucleus says something about the optic nerve being a tract and not a nerve in its introductory paragraph. If someone who knows what that means (I dont) would kindly expand on that in the improved version of this page it would be nice. Anshul 19:11, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
