Source: 貧しい長屋暮らしだった渡辺は“家”への思い入れが強く、長男が生まれると世田谷の一等地に豪邸を建てた。次男が誕生すると、同じ世田谷に推定4億円の豪邸を設けた。/Watanabe, who had lived in a poor tenement house, had a strong attachment to his home, and after his first son was born, he built a mansion in a prime location in Setagaya. After his second son was born, he built a mansion in the same area worth an estimated 400 million yen.

• Newly expanded enough, signifigant enough expansion (13x). Earwig says 0%, though foreign language sources are used; will AGF. I find ALT1 most interesting, though Nikkan Gendai has no RSN mention, and there's no concensus between whether it's a tabloid in format or a tabloid in journalistic standards. If there is a more consistent answer to their journalistic standards - perhaps a statement from the paper themselves - send it. It not, I'd suggest adding it to RSN to garner concensus among editors. Since all hooks are cited with this paper, either suggest a new hook without it as a source, or go through RSN. Roast (talk) 06:54, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

• @Guerreroast: Nikkan Gendai is published by Kodansha and has an editorial policy. The tabloid thing is mostly a format thing, and from what I hear from the jawiki page there are some controversies and reporting bias but in general not as severe as New York Post or Daily Mail, nor do any of them appear to compromise the reliability of the hooks. ミラP@Miraclepine 05:27, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
