Why there are no description of his fighting style? Akaan327 (talk) 18:14, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Record

[edit source]

On UFC site he had 26 victories. On here he has 25. Akaan327 (talk) 20:53, 9 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

  • We use Sherdog as reference for our records. Can't really put 26, if we don't know which one the UFC counted and therefore he'd have to still be listed as 25-11 in the table. Nswix (talk) 22:24, 9 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Proposed wording for 2019 restraining order paragraph

[edit source]

I would like to propose a minor clarification and expansion of the existing paragraph in the "Personal life" section regarding the 2019 restraining order filed by Tony Ferguson's wife.

The proposed wording for the article is as follows:

"Ferguson has two sons with his wife, Cristina Ferguson. In March 2019, Cristina filed a temporary restraining order against Tony in Orange County, California, alleging uncharacteristic behavior including severe paranoia, prolonged sleep deprivation, destruction of property in their home, and beliefs that a tracking chip had been inserted into his leg during reconstructive knee surgery (sources: ESPN, MMA Fighting). According to court filings reported by multiple media outlets, she also stated that Ferguson had taken their son from the family home for several days without her consent, and that police had been called to their residence on multiple occasions over the preceding months (source: CBS Sports).

She did not allege physical abuse, and later stated that the filing was intended as a precautionary measure to encourage him to seek help for his mental state (source: ESPN). By April 2019, she had withdrawn the request, and the restraining order expired without any criminal charges being filed (source: MMA Mania)."

This wording:

  • keeps the mention of the couple's two sons,
  • attributes all claims to court filings or media reports,
  • explicitly notes that no physical abuse was alleged,
  • makes clear that the restraining order was later withdrawn and no criminal charges were filed,
  • remains within the "Personal life" section.
