I have added the name of his father: Walter F Kibble (from the times obituary cited in the references). W. F. Kibble is famous for the Kibble-Slepian identity, which is a generalization of Mehler's identity to several variables, where it becomes the heat-kernel for the higher dimensional harmonic oscillator.
