It seems to me that the guardians of Wikipedia are somewhat hypocritical. "Private" sites like Pro Football Reference and Data Base Football, which "promote themselves" and have pop-ups and advertisement on their sites to make themselves money, are ok to be listed in every player's Infobox; yet my page on the Roster of All AFL Players is dismissed as "self promotion" even though I ask nothing of the reader, and the page offers information that is available at NO ONE PLACE anywhere else on the internet. Isn't it conceivable that a user who looks up "Bud Abell" or "Lance Alworth" would like to know where he can find a list of all AFL players in one place?

There is reference (with "citation needed") noted to "establish itself as the future of Professional Football". That refers to the AFL. Perhaps add "part of", because the AFL would merge with the NFL? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 16:29, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
