• The notation $\operatorname {td} (C)$ for a curve $C$ is never explained. In the rest of the text, only $\operatorname {td} (E)$ for a vector bundle $E$ is defined. What is $\operatorname {td} (C)$ for a curve $C$? Maybe the Todd *genus* is meant?
