Toci and Teteoinnan are quite frequently described as alternate names for the same deity, and both are also associated with or alternate names for Tlazolteotl. It's not clear to me whether there are sufficiently distinctive characteristics or aspects per name in order to warrant these being separate articles. May need to investigate the primary sources eg Sahagun on these, not clear under which primary name these should go (if they are to be merged).--cjllw | TALK14:15, 15 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Teteoinnan has now been redirected and merged into Toci, given the sources which correlate these two. No merge to Tlazolteotl however, regarded as closely related rather than only an alternate name.
The following text from Teteoinnan has not yet been merged into the text here, needs further investigation to establish the relationship with Coatlicue.
In her destructive aspect Teteoinnan is known as Coatlicue. While Coatlicue was the destructive feminine force, Teteoinnan was the creative feminine force.
