Excursion

[edit]

Famous reserve forest of Nagzira is about 15 Kms from Tirora. Nagzira forest is rich in flora and fauna. Wild animals like Tiger, deer, nilgay, wild dogs, peacock, fox etc can be seen if lucky. Now a days private and government provide cottage for tourist at cheap rate. From so many places tourist are visiting Nagzira and get experience of forest tour and watching wild animal. Apart from Nagzira, river Wainganga can be visited. The nearest point of Vainganga is Kawlewada ghat which is about 5 Kms. Also there is big lake Bodalkasa about 12 Kms away. Bodalkasa Lake presents a beautiful view, surrounded by thick forest, populated by Langoors. Forest has lots of trees of Mahua, Palas, Teak and 'Bel'. On way to Bodalkasa is the sacred place 'Dakram Sukdi'. In the month of March a big 'Jatra' is held here. Another place worth a visit is 'Kashi Ghat' it is walkable distance from town. A 'jatra' is held on Makar Sankranti here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunilshani (talkcontribs) 10:56, 7 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
