Hindenberg report and stock trading halt

I see source relating to hindenberg research report in sources, why no mention of it in the page? Defunct??

Hi @Paul W,

I've noticed you are a significant contributor on the Tingo page, was wondering since the company is not defunct or closed can we change the intro to "Tingo Group, Inc. (formerly Tingo Inc.) was a publicly traded fintech and agri-fintech conglomerate initially established in Nigeria, with operations across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East." changing to past tense as its no longer functional. Hi Tuesden. Happy to make that change (done). It is a confusing picture - I could only find one source saying the company has shut down, but two new Tingo-branded operations were launched in February. Paul W (talk) 13:25, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

@Paul W, I've seen the new tingo operations too, however i feel after such an issue there's no way the company should still be operational even in any other country. Tuesden (talk) 13:43, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

I think you are right, Tuesden. I have done a few searches for recent news or other content about the various Tingo businesses and - excluding coverage about the drinks launch, the SEC cases and the new AI ventures - there are very few hits since 2023. Paul W (talk) 14:18, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
