High temperature
[edit]I once read that many years ago Tindouf recorded a shade temperature of 135^ F, which is one of the very highest temperatures ever recorded on the planet.
(in answer to the above, which was unsigned) Here's an article about that temperature record (and others) which dismisses Tindouf's record on the grounds that it's simply not credible given Tindouf's elevation;

Population statistics
[edit]@Bananakingler: you recently readded some text on the 1998 and 2008 population of Tindouf. The second reference gives the 1998 population. While the first reference includes 2008 population figures but doesn't list Tindouf. It doesn't mention refugees.
