What does "the past foursquare checkins" mean?

[edit]

...a service that would replay the past foursquare checkins in real-time.

What does this mean? I get it matches the app's original name as well as the service it was originally built for, but the current phrasing is ambiguous, implying it to be a length of time. Could someone please rephrase this to be clearer for readers who are unfamiliar with the topic (such as myself)? 2A02:C7C:6C23:EB00:8D7C:7674:E83F:9D54 (talk) 23:21, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Proposed update: Acquisition news, history, and awards edit

[edit]

Hello. I work for Sincere Corporation, the parent company of Timehop. I'd like to suggest a few additions to the Timehop page. I am posting them here for review to ensure neutrality. I welcome feedback from other editors.

---

First Change:

Could we modify the second paragraph in the introduction?

Current:

The company was founded in 2011 by Jonathan Wegener and Benny Wong. As of March 2025, Timehop had over 20 million users.

New:

The company was founded in 2011 by Jonathan Wegener and Benny Wong. Timehop was acquired by Sincere Corporation in June 2023.[1] As of March 2025, Timehop had over 20 million users.[keep the source]

Second Change:

Could we add the following to the end of the History section?

History

[edit]

[Keep all the current information. Just making the following edits to the bottom of the section.]

By 2014, the iOS version had surpassed one million downloads, the app was listed in the Top 200 in the U.S. App Store,[2] and the company raised $10 million in Series B funding, led by Shasta Ventures. [keep current source]

In June 2023, Sincere Corporation acquired Timehop. Sincere is the parent company of Punchbowl, Lovebird, and Memento.[1]

Third Change:

Lastly, would it be possible to add a section for Awards that Timehop has won?

Awards

[edit]
  • May 2017 Webby Awards, Best Social App[3]

Please let me know if these changes are acceptable.
