Genre

Wouldn't 'mockumentary' or just 'comedy' be more accurate than 'sitcom' for its genre? It is kind of a similar programme to Brass Eye and that is down as just 'comedy' --Andrew Ross-Parker 14:59, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Cameron in the know?

It seems to me that, although many of the sketches are edited to show fictional events in an amusing light, David Cameron's participation in some of the episodes has been of a slightly different and more involved nature, as if he is willingly taking part in some of the sketches or is in on some of the jokes. No, Time Trumpet has just as much invective aimed at Cameron as it does Blair. They just found good footage of him to work the jokes around (see that England wristband thing). 80.177.170.112 13:23, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Since you asked: The audio of Cameron in that episode comes from two interviews with Andrew Marr. Not sure if the video is the same, the mouth movements seem slightly out of sync. - rdmsoft 16:01, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

No, there's no way that isn't just editing- I mean I think we can discount the possibility of him agreeing to appear on a show that predicts he will end up only being Prime Minister for twenty days after committing some unspeakable act in a church, no matter how desperate Cameron is for approval- the only other scenario is if he did genuinely think they were making a show in which a monkey puppet and a donkey puppet interview politicians and agreed to go on that, and to be honest I wouldn't put it past him being that easily fooled, the only thing is if Armando Ianucci did manage to fool him like that he'd probably want to publicise it in some way. 80.177.170.112 14:40, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Blair 'assassination'

Was this definitely part of the original cut? The other episodes are full of references to Blair's contemporary (ie in the year 2031) madness, which would seem to preclude his being assassinated several years previously.
