Timbalada is a very know group around the world.

It did in Barcelona a carnival were almost 100.000 people went to streets to dance, during 12 hours.

Every one import person who visit Salvador, wants to know the Candeal and Timbalada. The last one was queen Sophia of Denmark.

While I am not particularly a fan of either Timbalada (whose sound I consider brutish and primitive) or Carlinhos Brown (who writes inane lyrics and acts like someone permanently under the effects of an overdose of cafeine) I insist that this notability tag must be removed. Timbalada and Carlinhos Brown are definitely FAMOUS in Brazil and all the Portuguese-speaking countries. Timbalada

The music "Já sei namorar" (Ever know how to flirt), composed by Carlinhos Brown, the leader of Timbalada, is a hit in every coutry were portuguese language are spoken. During the year 2004 it was the number one in Portugal.

The better translation to Já sei namorar would be "I already know how to flirt" or "I can already flirt" (considering that the English verb "can" has two different meanings in Portuguese: to know how and to be able to). jggouvea 00:57, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Direct Carnival link to Bahian Carnival

I was thinking that the link to Carnival should either be linked to the Brazilian Carnival article or the Bahian Carnival article, as Timbalada is distinctly associated with Bahian Carnival, as opposed to others. Thoughts? - Dunc0029 (talk) 15:59, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
