Date of Birth

[edit]

WP:BLP states that primary research (which would include Ancestry.com) is not acceptable as a source of age data for recently deceased persons. That is defined as anyone dead between six months and two years, as determined by consensus. I've obtained a birth date for the article subject, and was wondering if anyone would object to my using it, or if more time is required. He's decesased just over six months. I found DOB, full name, and parents on a few of the usual websites that post obituary notice. I assume the family would be OK with it here, too. -Location (talk) 20:11, 14 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, very good point. I actually didn't bother to do a web search --i used my Wikimedia Library ancestry account. A really great tool but we are restricted as to how we can use it. Coretheapple (talk) 20:19, 14 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
