Allegations beginning in 1990s not 20220s

[edit]

Allegations against Jago began in the 1990s not 2020s, the content as currently written seems misleading.

Kia ora Errolhunt, how would you feel about adding to the article and clarifying that the allegations go back to the 1990s, as outlined by The NZ Herald? Schwede66 02:47, 3 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
I guess it would depend if this is supported in trustworthy sources, but it certainly looks from your ref like they are (defendant made statement to the police in December 1999). Would you suggest changing this date in the opening paragraph? Also, happy for someone else to make this call! Errolhunt (talk) 16:27, 13 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Do we have a fully free image to depict Jago?

[edit]

If not, I would suggest that we should under WP:FUI use an image from some of the media ACT have produced that show their leader- for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZgJp2O04wI URabinowitz (talk) 08:23, 12 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

You cannot use non-free content for living people, as it fails part of criterion one (the part that I've highlighted): Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose. The case in point is Kim Jong Un; for year, we did not have a photo for the article. And although it isn't easy to visit North Korea and get near the leader to take a photo, in theory, a free photo "could be created", and hence the Wikipedia article didn't have one.
