Wikipedia is not a dictionary, so i removed this: "* A tie is the standard term used to describe some competitive sports events:

Another "Tie"

"Ties" or "draws" are also used in lists such as top ten lists. I couldn't find a page about this so can anyone make one? I would like to know the rules of how to use "tie" when listing things. Other uses or acronym?

Since in-universe, the TIE in TIE Fighter stands for Twin Ion Engine, should it be under Acronym? My understanding is that in general, we refrain from using in-universe descriptors, but I figured I'd ask since the article mentions the acronym at the very beginning. --FIQ (talk) 12:09, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
