referencing

[edit]

The reason there are no references cited is because I wrote this page from my own independent derivation of ticket locks; I figured them out from scratch, and then discovered they already existed (invented in 1991). Toby Douglass 16:13, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

How do you know they were invented in 1991? Whatever you found that said that, couldn't you use that as a reference? --68.0.124.33 (talk) 04:52, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Confusion

[edit]

I have absolutely no idea what this article is about, other than that I can (barely) infer that it's computer-based. 24.250.218.248 (talk) 08:14, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Atomic increment of now_serving

[edit]

Why is it mentioned that this is atomic? It doesn't have to be, as the lock holder is the only one who can increment it.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.120.46.160 (talk) 22:08, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
