A fact from Thyrocopa appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 10 August2008, and was viewed approximately 1,000 times (disclaimer). The text of the entry was as follows:
Because I didn't think it was worth expounding on such a trivial thing, but if it matters: the DYK appeared saying "...Thyrocopa is a genus of flightless moth endemic to Hawaii". Since Thyrocopa consists of over 40 species, only two of which are flightless, the description is incorrect. When I edited the article I also removed the DYK notice from here, which someone put back a couple of days ago. Hence my comment. KarlM (talk) 17:47, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
