Relevant Link Removal

Removed link to the band Thrill Kill Kult. The band does not engage or condone in the act of thrill killing, and the name of just a use of it. To link from this article implies it is an actual CULT of people who engage in thrill killing. If you want to relate the band to this article, 'Pop Culture references' sections should be started. I am also removing the game for the same reason. Relevant links are used for RELEVANT information, not references. Start a section as such. Martin Bryant, a thrill killer?

I would not say that Martin ryant was a thrill killer. In the introduction to the article, it states that thrill killing is "...a kind of premeditated murder committed by a sane criminal who is motivated by the sheer excitement of the act." Martin Bryant, at the time of the crime, was not exactly the most sane person around, with several mental dysfunctions, a poor intellectual capacity and an IQ of 66. Also, there is no way to tell whether he had committed the crime for the thrill of the act or if he had simply snapped. Thoughts? CeeWhy2 07:24, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I think this is a lousy article. Is there any comprehensive place for the psychological mechanism of premeditated and random murder? It would seem so. Both militairy and prisoner situations can have a regular deal with habitual 'thrill killing", one would expect the psychologists to have better material on it then this.(eg killing a "todler" is closer too perversion or sadism then too the mechanism in people that allows for habitual killing with thrill.) 77.248.56.242 16:32, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Can anyone find a legit definition of the term?

I feel like we need a source for the definition. Previously, there were no sources whatsoever for anything but the examples, which won't fly on wikipedia. I looked for a little while and came up with nada. I found a few blogs that referenced thrill killings and what it means, but no reliable sources. A gross violation of WP:BLP policy

This article appears to have contained a gross violation of WP:BLP policy since August 2013. In this diff is an assertion regarding the killing of Christopher Lane -specifically that three individuals named in the article killed him. As the title of the source cited made entirely clear, at the time the individuals had only been charged with the murder. Of the three, one was only convicted of being an accessory after the fact, a second pleaded guilty, while the third, Chancey Allen Luna, was only found guilty yesterday. That the article should contain an assertion of guilt regarding an individual yet to face trial over such a period without anyone noticing the blatant violation is a disgrace to Wikipedia.
