Apostrophe
[edit]I believe "Dîner des trois empereurs" is "Dinner of the three emperors" or "Three Emperors' Dinner" (note the apostrophe). Art LaPella (talk) 02:06, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Every published reference uses "Three Emperors Dinner" without an apostrophe. WP:NAME says article titles should be "consistent with usage in reliable English-language sources". ShipFan (talk) 04:34, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- OK, it looks like you're more right than wrong. (Some think that guideline should be clarified to exclude punctuation, but it hasn't happened yet.) Art LaPella (talk) 05:31, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
How Many
[edit]So there was only one actual emperor at this dinner ? Eregli bob (talk) 13:52, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- It seems that Napoleon III was the Emperor of France at the time, but he wasn't invited. Wastrel Way (talk)Eric
