Three World Model VS Three Worlds Theory

• In the Three World Model
  • First World is Capitalist world;
  • Second World is Communist world;
  • Third World is neutral and non-aligned countries.
• In the Three Worlds Theory
  • First World is a group consisted by the Superpowers,United States and Soviet Union;
  • Second World is a group consisted by the lesser powers;
  • Third World is a group consisted by the Developing countrys .

Contested deletion

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because The "Three Worlds Theory" developed by Mao Zedong is different from the Western theory of the Three Worlds (Three World Model) or Third World . For example, in the Western theory, China and India belong respectively to the second and third worlds, but in Mao's theory both China and India are part of the Third World which he defined as consisting of exploited nations.--Cfch250 (talk) 11:53, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Map

How come the full map was replaced with just Europe? ForeverStamp (talk) 04:28, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

I was wondering the same thing. Why did we get rid of a high quality WORLD map only to replace it with one that has less information? Like the rest of the world isn't relevant to the Cold War? I can't even find the original version anymore. Gosos67 (talk) 20:30, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Content weirdly split between 4 articles

I noticed that there's 4 articles about this topic. One for the concept and one per category. That's all well and good, but the "first world" page has itself a subheading which describes the model in more words than the main page itself, and the "second world" page contains a criticism section that seems to be referring to the entire model, with no direct relevance to the page its on. The "third world" page has a subheading comparing the model with the similarly named "three worlds theory", which also seems an odd choice to put it there rather than on the main article.

In all there's plenty of information to make up the main article, but it's weirdly spread between the pages without an obvious reason for doing so. Each page has to re-explain the model, so I wonder if it'd be tidier and an easier read if condensed into a single page. Orcaaaaa (talk) 12:25, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
