You've made a good start. Now you need to supply the data for the other years the league existed, into the early 1960s. Wahkeenah 17:49, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Illinois–Indiana–Iowa League → Three–I League – The WP:COMMONNAME is Three–I League.
- Baseball HoF archives - "Formally known as the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League, but generally known as the Three-I League..."
- SABR article on the Three-I League calls it the Three-I almost exclusively and notes it was the popular name.
- Newspapers.com search of "Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League" over the last 25 years gives 38 results. A search of "Three-I League" produces 728 results over the same timespan. SirParzifal (talk) 11:16, 6 December 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 02:21, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- Regardless of the basic question, shouldn't "Three–I League" be "Three-I League" or "Three-I league" (i.e., with a hyphen instead of a dash)? — BarrelProof (talk) 03:58, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- I believe you are correct that a hyphen should be used instead of a dash. "League" in "Three-I League" should be capitalized, though - I scrolled through the first ten pages of Google search results just to be sure "League" was the predominant usage and only saw it uncapitalized three times. - This is not the case with newspapers.com results, which commonly show lowercase "league" and often lack any punctuation between three and I (i.e. Three I league). However, I agree overall (checking Google Books), the capital form is significantly more prevalent. Katzrockso (talk) 05:35, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

- Support Three-I League. The abbreviated form is clearly the common name, so should be used. Zero reason to lowercase "League" as it's part of a proper noun, just like the capitalized "League" in the name of every single other minor league in baseball history (except the ones that don't include the word in their names, like the various versions of the American Association). That's not even a question. oknazevad (talk) 06:27, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
