Confusion with father

Sir Thomas Rid(d)ell who died in 1650, father of the subject of the article, was the MP during the 1620s (see History of Parliament page. According to that page, the father was also the MP during the Short Parliament; but the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography disagrees.
