Incident with Josip Weber

[edit]

Hi, can some editors from other countries than Germany or Belgium comment if Helmer is known for the incident with Josip Weber in the 1994 FIFA World Cup? In Germany, this incident is hardly remembered at all and I think that if Weber hadn't died a few days ago (8 November) and the obituaries hadn't mentioned this incident, most people in Belgium would not know it either. --Jaellee (talk) 20:18, 11 November 2017 (UTC) I can guarantee you that in Belgium every soccer fan still knew about this. In the Netherlands they actually made a top 10 of "horrible" referee mistakes a few years ago and this incident was on that list. So also in the Netherlands they know about this. Does the whole world know about it? Maybe less, but soccer fans for sure will remember it. But ok, you can change it again if you really think it is irrelevant. But keep in mind that it was one of the hot items during the world cup in 1994 Garnhami (talk) 10:32, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
