Info requested

[edit]

Were the Nandavarika brahmins originally Chaturvedis from Uttar Pradesh?
[A section of them appear to have subsequently migrated to present day Karnataka and Tamil Nadu].
Please share any information you may have on
1) the migration of Nandavarika brahmins from Banaras (UP) to Kurnool (AP) or any other place; and
2) any characteristic or peculiar similarity / similarities in the practices of the brahmins of Nandavaram and those of Chaturvedis in UP.

Thank You.

Regarding the cleanup tags

[edit]

I tagged this page after I ran across it while patrolling recent changes. The article's content is hardly broken up into sections, and is apparently written with the expectation that the reader is already familiar with the topic and knows all of the Sanskrit and Hindi terms sprinkled liberally throughout the text. While it may be easy enough to read for someone who's familiar with the subject, sentences like "After that they had Brahmarambha darshanam." and "The subhamuhurtham of Nandarajus marriage was fixed by Jyotish Pandits." are totally unintelligible to me. After that, they had what? What was fixed?  dalahäst (let's talk!) 13:35, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
