Current List of "developing countries"
[edit]https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/third-world-countries
Anyone have an objection to the modern definition of (and criteria to be considered) a third world country appearing on this article as it appears in this source? 2601:243:E07F:5F80:A8B5:5F14:C7FF:3369 (talk) 12:24, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Of course.
- I am a proud member of a Third World Country (Non Aligned Country), as it's original meaning states, since before my time, since 1971. We have always kept our stance and we are shown in this map as "NATO Allies"? We have NOTHING to do with that.
- Your definition in your link is inaccurate, it's about poverty I think, that belongs to the "developing world".
- You can't rewrite history noatter how many times you rewrite a Wikipedia article. 186.34.43.123 (talk) 00:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Use of terms
[edit]ISTR that "third world" was used indistinction to the "East" and "West", and the First World and Second World arose from that. Second World is not used any more (indeed neither is third world, the analogy to British Rail keep on giving). All the best: Rich Farmbrough 23:46, 2 June 2025 (UTC).
- I don't understand a word of what you wrote.
- In the third world countries, REAL, ORIGINAL NON ALIGNED THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES, we DO USE the terms "Third world country" proudly for us" and "First world countries " for most of the original FWC and several "Second World Countries". We don't really use "Second World", but "Third World" is part of our identity as Non Aligned Countries. If you don't use it, just don't. 186.34.43.123 (talk) 00:53, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
Please update the Map. It's inaccurate.
[edit]Here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Aligned_Movement You can see a clear map of the NON ALIGNED COUNTRIES, MEMBERS AND OBSERVERS.
In the map of this article, NON ALIGNED MEMBER COUNTRIES APPEARS AS ALLIGNED WITH THE US. THAT HIGHLY INACCURATE.
Please someone take this issue seriously and correct the map. Thank you very much. 186.34.43.123 (talk) 00:44, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
