formula incomplete

The general formula given for thiosilicate anions is incomplete. However, I'm not sure what exactly is missing. I guess it was supposed to mean (SiS₂)*(S^2-)_n but there are more possibilities. Given that in the parent compound SiS₂ the silicon-sulfur tetrahedra are all connected via edges, I would expect this also to be the case in most thiosilicates, leading to a formula (SiS₄^4-)*(SiS₂)_n or Si_nS_(2n+2)^4-. However, as the example of an oxo-thiosilicate shows, corner-shared arrangements seem to be possible as well.
