Refs

[edit]

Just happened to spot this linked from the Signpost. Campaign has online archives stretching back to 2005, so here are a few potential refs. Not many other trade publications have ONLINE archives going back that far, and I don't really have ready access to/the will to search through the offline versions. Added a few odds and ends, though.

Campaign

[edit]
  • - On the launch
  • - Interview with the heads of NMA and RAB, the newspaper and radio equivalents.
  • - Feedback on the first Thinkbox Experience event
  • - Reactions by the industry
  • - More reactions
  • - Creative mentoring program
  • - Ref for the website launch in May. No real details, though.
  • - Ref for the 2006 relaunch of the website following a £250k investment
  • - a bit on the old "brownbox" criticism.
  • - More on brownbox, criticism on structure.
  • - Expansion of the board, inc. its first chairman: Justin Sampson. No details, probably not worth including.
  • - Appointment of Tess Alps.
  • , - IDS pullout, infighting, etc.
  • - Summation of first half of 2006: Tess Alps (yay), IDS pullout (boo).
  • - move of the offices to Centre Point
  • - TV Planning Awards launch, maybe mention sponsorships of some of the other major ad awards ceremonies (IPA, BTAA, etc.)

Miscellaneous

[edit]
  • - Revolution on the site relaunch.
  • - Shots describing an example of an attempt to convince marketers to stick to TV.
  • New Media Age (subscription) - A browse through their archives shows some promising titles.
  • - The Guardian on the launch. Mentions budget for 2005.
  • - The Guardian on Tess Alps. Mentions budget for 2006.
  • - The Independent on first year to Alps' hire.

Hope these'll prove useful. GeeJo (t)(c)  01:01, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
