Early use by Ohm

Ohm used a thermopile instead of a battery for his experiments (~1826) leading to Ohms law (1827)[1]- because early batteries had variable voltage - Rod57 (talk) 23:36, 10 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Possible error in article

I'm fairly sure the phenomenon of heat being moved from one side to the other when current flows is the Peltier effect; the phenomenon of current being generated by a differential temperature across the thermocouple is the Seebeck effect.
