The ick → Ick (feeling) – per WP:THE, using 'the' in a title is inappropriate if it's not capitalized in running prose or the term has a different meaning without it, neither of which are true here. Oppose. The ick is a set phrase with a distinct meaning. Ick by itself does have a different meaning without the. The primary meaning of ick is as an interjection to express disgust, repulsion, etc. Note that Merriam-Webster includes only this definition of ick while Dictionary.com includes the interjection as the primary definition and then lists several uses as a noun, including two definitions for the phrase the ick. This article is about a specific usage. For articles about colloquialisms, slang, quotes, idioms, etc. we do not "correct" the phase to align with standard spelling, grammar, or general naming conventions when doing so alters the meaning and fails to reflect the topic of the article. --MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 20:05, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
