Plagarism?

[edit]

Which part of The Rain Man was plagarized by Cho Seung-Hui? I've never heard of this. --70.240.220.180 03:10, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

It was the bit about "I hate his ass hole face". That entire scene from his "play" is almost verbatim from The Weather Man. But the poster underneath this is correct, it's not worthy of being in this encyclopedia.

To be honest, I could care less that the movie was plagiarized by a killer; where is the significance in it? Aren't works being plagiarized on a daily basis? Why should it stand out that this person in particular plagiarized the film? The reason for which he is famous is because he was a killer; not because he was a writer. The entire phenomena around this boy and the stigmatic response to his stimulus has been superfluous and blown out of proportion; I find the quotation absolutely unsuitable and useless and I will be removing it.

Fair use rationale for Image:Weather Man DVD.jpg

[edit]

Image:Weather Man DVD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dramedy

[edit]

Is there a source for the assertion that this film is a dramedy?Hobson (talk) 23:43, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Have reverted the edit - it seems to me that "dramatic film with dark comedic elements" will make more sense to the average reader than dramedy, and they mean roughly the same thing. Hobson (talk) 18:54, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
