When was The Revolt first published?

[edit]

The first sentence of this article says "The Revolt ... is a book about the militant Zionist organization Irgun..." It is customary to give a book's publication date, yet only the date of the book's first English translation is provided. Also, one guesses the book was written in Hebrew; it would be nice for the article to confirm this guess. Page Notes (talk) 02:25, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

The revolt of 1857

[edit]

By the first half of the 19th century , the east india company had brought major portions of India under its control. One hundred years after the Battle of Plassey, anger against the unjust and oppressive British Government took the form of a revolt that shook the very foundations of British rule in India. While British historians called it sepoy mutiny , Indian historians named it The Revolt of 1857. 223.230.131.213 (talk) 08:56, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
