Population of 4000 in 1830
[edit]This much quoted figure of 4000 is simply not true. This was the peak population of Kildalton and Oa parish which takes in all of south Islay. The highest numbers for The Oa alone were in the 800's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.138.172.79 (talk • contribs)

- @WanderingWanda: If you're concerned about readers searching for the TV series under "the oa" it might make sense to create The oa as a redirect to the TV series but I doubt that people are likely to capitalize only the Oa when searching for the TV series, see WP:DIFFCAPS.
