Tregelles

[edit]

The article says "Its preparatory school is called Tregelles". There is a Cornish Quaker family called "Tregelles". Is there any connection with the Prep School, please? Vernon White . . . Talk 08:18, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

User:Vernon39, It is probably named for Rachel Tregelles, an early head of the school. BTW the school website mentions Thomas Blackhouse as a refounder of the school in 1831; however, I suspect a typo for Thomas Backhouse (Backhouse being a prominent York Quaker family and Blackhouse seems to be otherwise unknown). --Erp (talk) 03:28, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Fees

[edit]

A suggestion as to what the fees are would be interesting; suprised not to find that information. ~2025-39676-15 (talk) 19:49, 9 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
