The result of the move request was: Moved per (adjusted) nom; mainspace links to the TV show retargeted. No such user (talk) 15:02, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
– The Lick (music) is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. This is so for several reasons:
- Searching for "The Lick (music)" in Google brings up 149,000,000 results, wheras searching for "The Lick with Trevor Nelson" brings up 367,000 results
- When searching for "The Lick" nearly all of the results are about the musical lick, not the TV show
- Looking at pageviews, you can see that "The Lick with Trevor Nelson" only gets around 14 views per day with a peak of 25, whereas gets about 69 views a day, with peaks of 325 in a day.

examples of use? age?

- I came here to ask this very question. Why have an article stating "so much usage" for centuries and yet have no examples to prove its existence. What does this sentence even mean: "The Lick" was not first seen in jazz, as examples of classical music, such as The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky, include tonal sequences similar to "The Lick"? It doesn't even make sense. This article is severely lacking. Maineartists (talk) 21:19, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
