Hagiography, needs balance
[edit]This reverential article ignores the outrage expressed in Latino Studies at Paz's dismissal of Mexican Americans as Mexicans who have forgotten their identity and now have none. It's a typical Old Country inability to grasp what happens in America. Paz even praised the "pachuco" for, as he saw it, dramatizing that stateless agony.
