Feedback

Per the request of @1timeuse75, I'm going to give some feedback for possible GA status:

• Is there a need to italicize the name of this business? (Same thing for the awards.)
• "by the Stephen family" - Stephen is a first name in the infobox. I'm not sure if this is the correct way to write a family name, but shouldn't that say the "McAllister family"?
• The logo could be put through a transparent image converter, as I believe it would look cleaner.
• "In an interview in 2016, The Kandy Bar claimed to be producing 1,200 Scotch pies a day, with 1,600 on Saturdays." - I'm not sure how this is relevant. A business could produce a high quantity of products on any given day, so it can't be special.
• "Shortly after winning the Scotch Pie World Champion title in 2016, there was a 'natural surge of customers from far afield'". - Shouldn't this be mentioned in the history section?
• "before his father" - The grandfather's father, or Stephen McAllister's father?
• "The name Kandy Bar comes from the sweet shop Stephen’s father used to run, and the name stayed despite Stephen reverting back to a more typical bakery offerings." - Wasn't the whole ownership/menu changing thing mentioned in the previous sentences?
• "was donating 10p" - The "10p" here could use a currency notation for "10 pounds".
• One final comment: You don't have to worry about the length of content when promoting an article to GA status; quality matters more than quantity. I got a video game article with 300 words, and it passed.

@TrademarkedTWOrantula Thanks for the feedback! I want to give my own comments back. My initial concerns about the article length wasn't because it was too short (I mean isn't that the point of GA?). My reason is because it was established in 1929. You would expect it to have a longer history section, right? compered to a 2016 mobile game.

The logo is commonly shown on a white background, see their boxes. The Description section is now a bit short, is there anything else I can add? Finally, "10p" means ten pence, not 10 pounds. I've still gone ahead and made this more clear. 1timeuse75 (talk) 12:01, 12 July 2026 (UTC)

From my experience with foodservice-related articles, description sections usually gloss over the interior or exterior design. But... I don't think a description section is that important here. I went over a few articles in the British bakeries category, and they don't seem to have such a section. Better to merge it somewhere? —TWOrantula^TM (enter the web) 18:04, 12 July 2026 (UTC)

I've merge the section into the history section. Yeah, I should of checked the other British bakeries categories. It's an absolute gold mine of niche stubs. For example Gay's Creamery. 1timeuse75 (talk) 08:21, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
