The Godfather Part II DVD commentary (2005)
[edit]In Special:Diff/448514779 (2011-09-05), HangingCurve added: "In his audio commentary for Part II, he stated that only a dire financial situation caused by the failure of New York Stories compelled him to take up Paramount's long-standing offer to make a third installment." with the reference "The Godfather Part II DVD commentary featuring Francis Ford Coppola, [2005]". But in Special:Diff/553573879 (2013-05-05), someone changed this to "[...] the failure of One From The Heart [...]", without touching the reference, so that it is not clear whether the new claim was sourced or not, and it potentially contradicted the source. A contributor in the French WP who listened to the entire audio commentary has said that this was not mentioned. So I have removed the claim in Special:Diff/995355606. Does anyone have additional information? — Vincent Lefèvre (talk) 16:48, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- I have re-added the sentence, slightly modified, with new sources. — Vincent Lefèvre (talk) 18:17, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
Ron Jeremy
[edit]Hello, while reviewing the cast I was surprised to see Ron Jeremy listed as 'Man Chewing Toothpick in Crowd.' I went to the supposed timestamp in the movie (1:16:34), but based on my analysis this does not appear to be him. The hairline and side profile don’t match. I searched for credible sources confirming his involvement in the film and couldn’t find any. The earliest mention I’ve found is from September 3, 2012, on a fan page, which isn’t a reliable source. My conclusion is that someone either as a joke or by mistake identified this extra as Ron Jeremy, and the rumor has since spread. Unless verifiable proof can be provided, I don’t believe this casting should remain on the wikipage, as I believe it’s straight-up fabrication. 2001:2062:1A:0:0:0:0:361 (talk) 08:51, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello fellow Ron/the Godfather entusiast!
- Yeah, I totally agree with you. I checked that scene too and it really doesn’t look like Ron Jeremy at all. The hairline and face just don’t match, and there’s no real source proving he was in the movie. That fan page mention sounds like someone just made it up and it spread around. I think it’s best to take his name off the wikipage unless there’s actual proof he was in it. 2001:708:150:10:0:0:0:8851 (talk) 07:35, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
