Frame produced as link to article advertising article

[edit]

The frame produced for this article references Ray Croc instead of Ray Kroc. I cannot find that anywhere else but I am not sure how to fix it, or propose a fix, as I am not sure where the frame is created or how the information gets produced to the frame.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Playmkr278 (talkcontribs) 07:34, 4 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

plot 'summary'

[edit]

Is far too long. Anyone care to pare it back? I've not seen the film, so I can't do it.122.107.170.39 (talk) 07:12, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Kroc, despite his old age," He was 52. Hardly "old age".  Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.56.148.253 (talk) 20:37, 29 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

McDonald's Involvement

[edit]

What, if any, is McDonald's involvement in the film? I can't imagine that it was done without their co-operation, so to what degree is this McDonald's propaganda? Is it completely independent? I have been curious about this question but this article doesn't answer that and I think it's important, given that the film looks - at a basic level - to be a feature length ad for McDonald's.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.152.141.122 (talk) 10:51, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

McDonald's apparently asked that all representations of the restaurant be accurate, which was followed meticulously by the director.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.174.0.21 (talk) 03:26, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not really, considering how it portrays the company's founder... but of course it could still increase sales, and Ikea sponsored Fight Club, so who knows.2001:14BA:27F6:AC00:3110:85F0:1D0:6453 (talk) 11:27, 3 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Plus the film claims that they made an oral agreement to give the brothers 1% of all royalties forever and is currently in violation of it. Which if it went to court would be billions in damages  Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.107.5.117 (talk) 08:00, 5 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

So, why didn't juditions sign the co-op? JamesWMoorII (talk) 23:25, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Filming locations

[edit]

For those that are interseted, the locations where the resturant sets where built are

Each restaurant had a functional kitchen and was used for a few days of filming and then removed.--RadioFan (talk) 20:46, 4 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Recent edits appear to be missing the point of the film

[edit]

User:IllaZilla just made a bunch of edits that imply that they have either never seen the film or did not understand the point it was trying to make. The previous version of the plot summary was a much more accurate and faithful summary.

For example, it was improper to delete the critical fact that McDonald's feeds about 1% of the world's population every day. This is raised at the end in order to raise the important question in the minds of the audience: whether all of Ray Kroc's shenanigans were worth it (whether the end justifies the means).

Any objections before I revert back to the last good version? Coolcaesar (talk) 12:13, 23 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

No objections have been raised. I will proceed. --Coolcaesar (talk) 20:01, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
