Effective remake

In the 1990s, I saw on TV a film (black and white, and I would guess from the late 1950s to early 1960s) that was effectively a remake of this, but with the surname changed to McCandless from Sullivan, and various story differences (I think there were three brothers, and no sister involved). I didn't take any notes about it at the time, and don't seem to be able to find anything about it now.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  06:19, 13 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
