[edit]Hi, I am a contractor for the Maybourne Hotel Group and I've noticed the logo of this Wikipedia entry is not the hotel's current one. Can we look to update this?

Article updates
[edit]Hello, this article is a bit out of date. I would like to propose the following corrections and additions please:
1. Changes to the ownership sentence in the "History" section:
The section currently ends: "In 2005, The Savoy Group, including The Berkeley, was sold to a group of Irish investors. The sale of The Savoy Group led to the Savoy Hotel and Savoy Theatre being sold off and the remaining properties, including the Berkeley, being renamed as the Maybourne Hotel Group."
I'd suggest replacing it with the following, to both correct the dates and cover more ownership changes:
- In 1998, the Savoy Group was sold to Blackstone Group and Colony Capital.[2]
- In April 2004, the Savoy Group, including The Berkeley, was sold to a group of Irish investors led by Derek Quinlan.[2] In January 2005, the group was renamed Maybourne, a separate management company, which retained The Berkeley, Claridge's and The Connaught.[3]
2. Additions to the "Restaurants and bars" section:
- In July 2019, the hotel opened a second bar, the Berkeley Bar and Terrace, with an outdoor terrace overlooking St Paul's Church.[4][5]
- In February 2022, Cédric Grolet opened a patisserie at the hotel, next to the Berkeley Café.[6][7]
- In February 2025, La Môme London opened at the hotel, in the space previously occupied by Marcus. It is a branch of the Cannes restaurant La Môme, run by the French restaurateurs Ugo and Antoine Lecorché.[8][9]
- In April 2025, the Blue Bar closed.[10]
- The hotel includes the Berkeley Rooftop Pool and Bar.[11]
3. Additions about the building and its design:
The article currently says little about the building's architecture and design. I'd suggest adding the following, either to fold into the History section or as a separate new section:
- In 2016, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, led by Richard Rogers, completed a new entrance for the hotel, the practice's first hotel project. The entrance features a glass canopy supported by sixteen nine-metre carbon-fibre beams, with glass pavilions on either side. The practice said it used materials and techniques more commonly found in Formula One cars and racing bicycles.[12][13][14]
