CC BY-SA 4.0 (Attribution-ShareAlike) - Violation?

[edit]

This is about the show itself, not the wikipedia page. I was watching The Mega-Brands That Built America, Season 2, Episode 5 (Music on the Move). The show was talking about the Sony Walkman, and I was interested in additional information and brought up the Wikipedia page. During the show they use the exact image referenced in the Wikipedia article https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Original_Sony_Walkman_TPS-L2.JPG

The credits has "FOOTAGE PROVIDED BY ... WIKI/BINARYSEQUENCE". Reading the details of the license it appears this doesn't meet the definition of "appropriate credit" https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/#ref-appropriate-credit

This probably isn't appropriate venue, but I'll ask here anyways: Is this a violation of CC BY-SA 4.0 (Attribution-ShareAlike)? 24.217.141.228 (talk) 03:17, 10 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
