It is rare for a person to have a criminal conviction and remains a sitting cabinet member (and not face disqualification). The interests of the reading public would be best served if a person's criminal past, drug smuggling, no less, is displayed as prominently as the high political offices they hold, particularly when the person continues to deny the conviction despite strong factual evidence.
It's routine for living politicians with convictions to be described as "convicted felon" right at the top. Examples include Betty Loren-Maltese and Dennis Tyler. The same should be done for this profile. 49.230.59.43 (talk) 07:07, 20 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
