Clean-up

This whole article looks and reads like it was cut and pasted from somewhere else. It contains no references and is overlong and full of rhetoric.Coolavokig (talk) 09:47, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Aah no its a nice article (but should be changed if a cut and paste) I was told that Thady Quill had done a bit of work for the songwriter and turned down his wages in exchange for the song is there any truth to that? Mountainyman (talk) 21:10, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

I can find no source online from which this text is drawn, so it's not likely a copy/paste job. However, it doesn't read like an encyclopedia article. It has an inappropriate tone, lacks citations to reliable sources, and isn't composed in the house style. --SSBohio 03:17, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Wholly agree with SSB. Current text reads significantly like OR/ESSAY. Unless can be cited and cleaned-up, I'm going to largely restore to this version (and even so, still tag the assertions made for further clean-up/cites/etc).Guliolopez (talk) 22:52, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

OK - Given that there were no other thoughts, I've gone ahead and removed the "essay style" observational and discursive text from the article. I've restored the earlier summary copy. However is still significantly lacking in VER sources. Guliolopez (talk) 22:16, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
