GNU Texinfo → Texinfo — "Texinfo" refers to the typesetting syntax, which this article is mainly about. "GNU Texinfo" refers to the programs provided by the GNU project that implement the syntax. Since the latter is less important and not discussed as much, this article should be named "Texinfo". ——msikma (user, talk) 11:52, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Please change to infobox file format

I cannot add the filename extensions for Texinfo in the infobox because it's an Infobox software, when in actuality it should be an Infobox file format.

The filename extensions are .texi, .texinfo and .txi. -- Genoskill (talk) 17:57, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
